Leadership Development that Lasts. And, Works.

Developing a highly engaged, highly effective team starts with a high impact leader. Our most effective clients are successful because of their commitment to making individual and team workforce development a priority.

Leadership and character development is not about “checking a box.” Sustained change, growth, and improvement begins with a leader who values the most important asset in the organization – the people.

Introducing “Building Character-based Leaders” (BCL) Sessions

There are many ways to develop teams and individuals but after working with thousands of leaders and organizations across the U.S. and internationally, we’ve identified the most effective leadership development tool for creating great culture and building a high performance team with highly engaged team members – what we call a “BCL (Building Character-based Leaders) Session.”

BCL Sessions are short, effective leadership and character development sessions that leverage micro-learning. They are held regularly and frequently, and can be a mix of one or more formats. Formats include: a “book study,” group podcast listening sessions, or a quick review of a “Tool-box Tip” from Blue-Collar Leadership Tool-box Tips. BCL sessions can be used to implement character based leadership development in the organization.

Distribute Blue-Collar Leadership® Books

  • Those who follow through and schedule the appointment are “self-identifying” as leaders or potential leaders who are on board with the initiative
  • Look for ways to leverage those who “self-identify” to spread the content and training to others such as leading book studies (see “Book Studies”)
  • Reward those who “self-identify” with opportunities to develop others or with recognition such as Blue-Collar Leadership® coffee mugs and T-shirts
